  OPW ENGINEERED SYSTEMS FLOATING SUCTIONS — Floating suctions are used on
aboveground or underground tanks, horizontal or vertical style, for applications where little or
no contamination can be tolerated. This includes scenarios involving AvGas and Jet-A fuel.
Floating suctions come in 2", 3", 4" and 6".

Since the fuel is least likely to have water or contaminants near the top of the product level,
floating suction assemblies are designed to float near the top of the liquid surface and draw
from the near-surface, contamination-free product.

Another benefit to the floating suction system is increased efficiency and reduced
maintenance of your filter-separator.

FEATURES: Permanently lubricated dual race swivel joints, triple-sealed swivel joints for
submerged service, a suction baffle and stop lag to maintain a minimum intake level of 8"
above the tank bottom (or as specified) and 150 lb flat-face flanges standard (with steel and
stainless steel flanges available as options).

flanged swivel joint near the bottom of the tank. This model typically is used with
submersible turbine pumps. The turbine pumps most be outfitted with the correct size
floating suction adapter.
