OCV MODEL 108 PRESSURE VALVE — •Acts as a backpressure or pressure sustaining valve, maintaining constant upstream pressure regardless of any fluctuation in downstream demand. Typically mainline size, the maximum velocity through the valve should not exceed 25 ft/sec. •When used in a bypass line, this model acts as a relief valve to protect the system against potentially damaging surges. Size is determined by the amount of pressure that is required to lower the inlet pressure. A general guideline is to use 60% of the rated pump flow. Capable of intermittent flows of up to 45 ft/sec. •Quick opening with controlled closing. •Size range: 1.25" to 24". These valves are typically 50-60% of the mainline size. •Flow range maximums: 115gpm @ 25 ft/sec or 210gpm @ 45 ft/sec (1.25") low end, 31,250gpm @ 25 ft/sec or 56,000gpm @ 45 ft/sec (24") high end. |

OCV MODEL 118/108SA SURGE VALVE — •Designed to be installed in a bypass line to assist in preventing damaging surges that occur in pumping systems when the pump suddenly stops. •Differs from conventional relief valves in that while standard valves only open when a high pressure wave hits, the surge protection valve senses the precursor of the high pressure wave (pump power failure or low pressure wave) and opens the valve in anticipation of the high pressure wave that follows. •Model 108SA is a hydraulic model requiring no electrical. •Model 118 is electro-hydraulic. It features an electrical power connection to the pumping system for opening upon loss of poweror on a pressure switch 'low pressure' signal. The valve closes after an adjustable pre-determined time on power failure or low pressure opening. Pilot- operated, hydraulic high pressure relief opening. •Size range: 1.25" to 24". |

OCV MODEL 110 DIFFERENTIAL VALVE — •Controls the pressure difference between two points. Pilot-operated, modulating type valve. •Differential is adjustable over a complete range of control springs. •Installed on the discharge side of a pump. Valve senses high pressure on the pump discharge side (the valve inlet) and low pressure at the pump suction. The valve modulates to hold differential pressure constant and thus assure that the pump is at its optimum point on the curve. •Size range: 1.25" to 24". •Flow range maximums: 115gpm @ 25 ft/sec (1.25") low end, 31,300gpm @ 25 ft/sec (24") high end. |
